U.S. stocks fell Monday, with all three major indexes falling over 1 percent. European markets closed sharply lower as concerns about political instability in the eurozone resurfaced. The DAX in Germany and France's CAC 40 both fell more than 2 percent. In other world markets, Asian stocks ended mixed, as the Nikkei in Japan rose 0.6 percent and the Hang Seng fell 0.2 percent. The Dow Jones industrial average fell 129.71, or 0.9 percent, to 13,880.08. The broader Standard & Poor's 500 index fell 17.46, or 1.2 percent, to 1,495.71. The technology-heavy Nasdaq composite index fell 47.93, or 1.5 percent, to 3,131.17. BlackBerry, formerly Research In Motion, began trading under a new ticker symbol, BBRY. Shares surged more than 15 percent.
