King Abdulaziz Public Library will Launch on Thursday the portal of Bahraini libraries on the internet under the Unified Arab Index project. This will make Bahraini libraries as the Fifth Arab libraries portal under this project.. King Abdulaziz Public Library will be represented by the Center of the Unified Arab Index. This was stated by Deputy General Supervisor of King Abdulaziz Public Library Dr. Abdul-Karim Al-Zaid, who pointed out that the launching of the Bahraini Libraries portal which coincides with the celebrations of the National Day of the Kingdom of Bahrain, is a fruit of cooperation between the King Abdulaziz Public Library in Riyadh and the National Library of Isa Cultural Center in the Bahraini capital Manama. He added that it is a new achievement for the Unified Arab Index Project which is supervised by King Abdulaziz Public Library and enjoys the support of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud who is the supreme chairman of the Board of Directors of the library. Dr. Al-Zaid explained that the library portals of Saudi Arabia, Sudan, the United Arab Emirates and Jordan were previously launched confirming the success of the Unified Arab Index Project.
