Faisal praised the efforts of Group 3 +3 or Group 5 +1 to solve the crisis of Iran's nuclear issue peacefully and to ensure its right as well as the rights of the region's countries to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes in accordance with the criteria and procedures of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and under its supervision, expressing his resentment about Iran's failure to respond to these efforts and try to circumvent them, and emphasizing the importance of making the Middle East free of weapons of mass destruction. He expressed the GCC States' rejection of continuing Iranian interference in their internal affairs and their rejection of Iran's continuing occupation of three islands of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and all attempts of Tehran to impose a fait accompli on the islands. The Prince said, "I would like to take this opportunity to thank the European countries that have participated in the meeting of the Friends of Yemen hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia recently, and undoubtedly, this participation comes as a continuation of their support after the GCC initiative which contributed to the peaceful transfer of power in Yemen. We hope for continuing support through active participation in financing developmental projects in Yemen and providing the necessary support for them through the donors' conference for Yemen to be hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to support the efforts of the Yemeni government to strengthen security, stability and development.
