Pakistan on Thursday successfully tested a medium-range cruise missile capable of carrying nuclear and conventional warheads, dpa quoted the military as saying. The launch of the Hatf-VIII, also called Ra'ad or thunder, was conducted by the military's strategic missile group from an undisclosed location. "The state-of-the-art air-launched Ra'ad cruise missile can carry conventional and non-conventional weapons over a distance of 350 kilometres and has stealth capabilities with pinpoint accuracy," said military spokesman Major General Athar Abbas. It was Pakistan's second missile test this week after the test-firing on Tuesday of a short-range Nasar missile, which is capable of carrying nuclear and conventional warheads up to 60 kilometres.
