packed seventh week matches of JCA Premier Division, sponsored by Kanoo Group of Companies and organized by Jeddah Cricket Association, Zinda Tilismat of Hyderabad India-XI beat Jawar Al-Jazira Cricketers by eight wickets, Babar Toor beat Kanoo Travels by six runs, Sultan Al-Abideen-XI beat Kanoo by five wickets while Natco International freight services beat Jeddah Projects Cricket Club by three wickets.
Jawar Al-Jazira batting first scored 222-5 in their allotted 18 overs. Amer Shahzad made 67 off 27 balls, Shan Manzoor 35, Shehzad 23, Ifteqar 13, while Zulfi remained unbeaten on 32 runs. Skipper Muhammad Sadathullah, Saeed Khan, Sarfaraz and Nazeer Ahmed grabbed one wicket each for Zinda Tilismat.
In reply Zinda Tilismat reached its target 227-2 in 16 overs. Jawar Al-Jazira, the defending champion, has lost all its matches this season. Opener Irfan made life easy for his team Zinda Tilismat with his 121 runs off 46 balls. He hit half a dozen sixes and sixteen boundaries. His opening partner Javed Ahmed made a quick-fire 69. Kamran grabbed 2-49 for Jawar Al-Jazira.
Babar Toor Batting first made 184-8 in 18 overs. Uzair Khan hit 77, Zahid Bhatti 37, Arshad 30 and Adnan 15. Mohammad Riyaz Chukkan picked up 2-40, while Haroon Abdullah, Abdul Jaleel, Zahid Khan and Akbar Ali grabbed a wicket each for 34, 27, 41, and 42 runs, respectively.
Kanoo Travel in reply could make only 179-8, thereby losing the match by six runs. Mazhar scored 49, Muhammad Riyaz Chukkan 26, Ibrahim Bin Mehfooz 24, Haroon 17, Akbar Ali 17, and Zahid Khan remained unbeaten on 13. Zahid Bhatti took 5-32, Akbar Butt 1-34, Sohail 1-21 and Imran 1-32.
Kanoo batting first was bundled out for 163 runs in 18 overs. Tabrez and Waseem made 27 runs each, while Najamuddin added 23 and Rashid Khursheed 13. Fahad 3-17, Irfan Qureshi 3-34, Yousuf 2-25, and Faraz 1-19 were the pick of the bowlers. Sultan Al-Abideen wicketkeeper Hazrath Ali captured five victims behind the stumps (three stumpings and two catches).
Sultan Al-Abideen reached the target 165 for the loss of five wickets. Irfan Qureshi hit 34, Zameer 42, Faraz 22, Hazrath Ali 36, Guddu 12, Wasay 24 and Rahil 22. Najamuddin and Riaz took two wickets each.
JPCC batting first was bowled out for 132 runs in 15.5 overs. Abid Parvez scored 29, Kaleem 27, Ahsan 21 and Asif 13. Humayun took 4-27, Mumrez 2-36, Ashique Ali 1-13, Shahzeb 1-7 and Aijaz Ahmed Khan 1-44. In reply Natco reached the target of 134 for the loss of seven wickets in 16 overs. opener Pervez Khan made 52, Mumrez Khan remained unbeaten on 26, Ashique Ali added 16, Aijaz Ahmed Khan 13, and Ali Waris 12.
