In B2 category team SCTC conquered SPTC-1901 Food for Friendship team, with Radz Ijiran/Maureen Mercado winning the first set on a tie-break against SPTC-1901 team's Tracy Atienza/Bing Tumale at 8-7, and controlled the second set with Aileen/Elly Dominguez winning 8-5 over Sheila Harris/May Borje. In the decisive third set, team SCTC's more experienced pair of Fatima Rasul/Rose Tumbag underlined superiority against the youthful teeners Leah Perez/Krizel Dominguez of team SPTC-1901 to win the set with an 8-3 scorecard, and the match at 2-1. With almost identical wins, team SCTC in HMX claimed victory over team Zuhair Fayez Partnership with a 2-1 scorecard. Opening the onslaught was Carmen/Mykah, who sneaked an 8-6 heartbreaker over Dinah Aquino/Fenn Dela Torre of ZFP. SCTC team's Tatah Egil/Radz Ijiran, bowed at 5-8 to Malu Agarin/Elly Dominguez, but Malou S./Sheila Harris sealed the match for SCTC in the 3rd set decider on tie-break against Xenia C./Beng T at 8-7. In the other court, team Smash Magic took the 1st set against JIS-STR, with Joy De Mesa/Levi Apacionado subduing Mitch Jereza/Sally Rosal on a score of 8-5 in the B2 category. Team JIS-STR's Weng Castro/Lanie Mislang countered in the second set to level the match at 1-1 on a tie-break at 8-7 against Hazel/Barbie. Lorna/Nympha of Smash Magic triumphed in another tie-breaker in the deciding set on a one-sided 8-1 to win the match. In contrast, even as Top Spin Magic raced upfront to take the 1st set with Joy Siongco/Joy De Mesa prevailing a strength- sapping tie-break at 8-7 against Dodie/Lilian, Alice Toling/Sally Rosal of team JIS-STR quelled a rally by Dhang Bangit/Nympha Sakay to win in another 8-7 tie-breaker to level the match, with Roxan/Lanie of JIS-STR taking the cue to win against Levi Apacionado/Miles of Top Spin Magic and secured the set at 8-4 and the match.
