KHOBAR: A Toastmasters group here will be holding the first ever meeting for top executives in the region. Toastmasters Division F and District 79 will host the meeting on Monday, March 14, at Le Meridian in Al-Khobar. Shaila Koya, the first female division governor in the Kingdom (Division F), told Saudi Gazette this would be a chance for the corporate leaders of the Eastern Province to share a pleasant evening together and share ideas. She said their busy schedules mean they do not usually have time to get together. Koya said the event will strengthen relationships and be an “inspiration to all corporate enterprises in the province”.??She said a number of chief executive officers, directors, and general managers will attend. There will also be a panel discussion entitled: “Communication and leadership skills are vital for corporate success”. Koya is the first woman in the Eastern Province to become a DTM (Distinguished Toastmaster), the highest award for toastmasters. She was the first female area governor last year and first female division governor. She hails from Kerala, India and teaches English and Speech at Dhahran Academy.
