TABUK/BISHA: Teachers and students at public schools pledged their loyalty Wednesday to the country and rejected calls for demonstrations which they say would create anarchy and destabilize the country.
Saeed Aal Othman, Director of the Education Administration in Bisha, said the Saudi people are envied for their security and standard of living.
He praised the stance of students and teachers for upholding the country's values and its plans for the future. He said some people are calling for demonstrations and sedition that would destroy the grace bestowed on the country.
“We won't allow it and we won't be deceived by misleaders and callers of falsehood. We are in a country that is ruled by a just leadership that seeks the welfare of the people, reforms and justice, and a good living for all citizens,” he said.
In Tabuk, over 150,000 school boys and girls expressed their feelings of love and loyalty to the government of King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
During extra curriculum activities and at assembly in the morning, speeches were broadcast of pupils expressing their loyalty to the leadership and rejection of demonstrations.
The education community in Tabuk region slammed those people calling for demonstrations and described them as malicious. They said the Kingdom's people are known for their solidarity, cooperation and opposition to anyone who threatens the country's security and stability.
“Our home, thanks to Allah, enjoys many blessings, maybe the most important of which is the grace of security and safety,” said a number of students. “The government's doors are open to everyone. Whoever tries to harm this generous land, we will cut off their heads,” said another group of students.
At a girls schools students agreed on the phrase, “Allah, then the King and country,” asserting that “this country has given us a lot and we won't allow it to be harmed”.
A number of girls said Allah graced the country with security and safety and the application of the Islamic Shariah.
“The leadership has set the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His messenger, peace be upon him, as the constitution of this country,” other girls said.
Pupil Kholood Al-Otaibi cited the celebrations and joy all over the Kingdom when the King returned, and when the Crown Prince returned before that, saying that this was evidence of the country's people support of the leadership in serving the homeland.
Muhammad Bin Abdullah Al-Luhaidan, Director General of Education in Tabuk, called on teachers and pupils to preserve national gains and avoid falling into the trap of deviant ideas being promoted by some people.
In Taif, more than 200 women and men teachers and pupils chanted poems of love and loyalty, in which they denounced those seeking anarchy in the country.
