Jazira bagged the Initial Cup by beating KAIA by 42 runs as star batsman Amer Shahzad hit a match-winning 119 runs in just 41 deliveries in the final of the JCA Division which is sponsored by the Initial Landscaping Company and organized by the Jeddah Cricket Association. Jawar Al-Jazira elected to bat first and piled up 243 against the KAIA. The stylish opening batsman Shan Manzoor made 25 before he was run out. Amer Shahzad joined Sajid and started playing strokes. But Sajid was brilliantly stumped off Sadeeq for 26. Then Junaid and Amer Shahzad simply dazzled. Shahzad made 119 off just 41 balls with seven boundaries and 12 sixes while Junaid made 46 to tally 243-5 in the allotted 20 overs. Amjad took 2-36, Tanweer 1-22 and Sadeeq 1-30. In reply, KAIA could reach 202-9. Openers Omair (16) Shoukath (3) could not impress while No. 3 batsman Imran made just 10. Aamir Jr., who stood firm at one end, made a valuable 63 while Yaseen made 28 to rekindle the hopes of KAIA. But after the exit of Aamir and Yaseen the wickets started falling at regular intervals, except for Waheed 25. Aamir Sr. made 10 and Saber 11. Yasir claimed 2-25, while Junaid, Saeed, Shaan Manzoor, Amer Shahzad, Qaisar and Ramzan took one wicket each. The final match has officiated by senior cricketers Syed Viqaruddin and Hussain Abbasi. __
