RAFHAA'/ARAR: Traffic chief Solaiman Al-Ajlan has said that the Saher speed camera system is to be introduced in the near future in several regions, among them the Northern Border Province, and that a private company will be tasked with installing it. “As per the plan, the system has been put into operation in various regions, and the second phase will see it introduced to other areas as well,” he said. Speaking during his visit to the Northern Border Province Tuesday, Al-Ajlan said that any increase in traffic infractions was a “matter for the Shoura Council”. “The Traffic Police is an executive body, and it is the Shoura that is responsible for any legislative aspects,” he said. During his tour Al-Ajlan announced that several new Traffic Department offices would be opened in the region, along with a driving school in Rafhaa' to issue licenses without the need for recourse to the Traffic Department.
