JEDDAH: Mashoor Belhejelah clinched the 3rd round while Hussein Al-Sharief claimed the 4th round of Toyota Karting Championship 2010 at the Corniche here last week. The event, organized by Abdullah Bakhashab Establishment for Motorsport Development, was held under the supervision of the Saudi Automobile Federation with Toyota as the main sponsor, along with IN 10 SO and Arab Motors Channel as media sponsor. The primary goal of the tournament was to discovery new talent in motorsport. And it seemed to have been achieved as three amateur racers clinched the top spots on the podium. Mashoor Belhejelah clocked 07:51:44 as Sultan Kaylo clawed his way into the second spot in a time of 07:54:69. Al-Sharif was third in 07:58:03. More than 20 drivers took part in the race. The tough and rough qualification round had taken place earlier. Drivers were also given a chance to drive high-performance Tony karts. Mesfer Al-Khedadi from the General Presidency of Youth Welfare (GPYW), Tarek Al-Qwayfeli from Saudi Arabia Motorsport Federation (SAMSF) and Waleed Al-Shehri from Abdul Latif Jameel crowned the top three winners. On the second day Hussein Al-Sharief finished first ahead of Sultan Kaylo and Mashoor Belhejelah. __
