JEDDAH: Gulf Oil and No Fear bowling teams foiled the attempt to break their domination in the exciting Filipino Expatriate Damayan Bowling Group Friday Morning Bowling League 10th conference at the Bowling City here.
Team captain Marlon Heredia did most of Gulf Oil's 13-7 (3,695-3,437) devastation of Johnson & Johnson Bowling Idols. Heredia spectacularly guided teammates with Bowler of the Week-winning total of 712 which inspired Jerry Carredo and Paolo Allego for 672 and 632 outstanding backup. Robert Stone, Ed Sardi?a and Rico Nery tried enlivening J&J to be ahead on scratch at 3,245-3,200, but the 562, 598 and 519 solid supports of Johnny Macalintal, Cherry Heredia and Jett Santos to their main pillars were enough to disappoint the Jowet Carreon-headed team. Marlon clinched BOW accolade with his superlative games of 235, 240 and 237. The becomingly scientific kegler Carredo intensified Gulf's offense on awesome shots of 208, 237 and 227 while youthful Allego curbed foes with 207, 216 and 209.
Malou Nidoy shared limelight with Marlon by claiming the lady Bowler of the Week award with games of 231, 231 and 200. Multi titlist Nidoy collected additional honor with total of 662 that led to an 18-2 (3,516-3,413) victory of Rudy Jamon-captained Sabban Electro Mechanical Co. over Lance & 3rdy. Her spouse Joel Nidoy with 626 (269 hi-game) was Malou's augmenter on this success.
No Fear extended J&J anguish with more miserable 18-2 (3,747-3,432) conquest led by Robert de Guzman who totaled 692 in this glorious outing of the Jay Bengco-captained and managed team. With Bengco himself binging 658, spouse Jannice flinging 605 and Rommel Marasigan splurging 602, No Fear, after losing scratch of Game 1, caught the Idols flatfooted till last bell with per game tallies of 1,232-1,209, 1,232-1,148 and 1,283-1,075. Sardi?a tried pursing some more points for J&J with his 227 effort on last game, but the Rene Punzalan's and Puri Parena's 596 and 594 were enough to flop any saving attempt.
De Guzman wrapped up the BOW nobility on scratch series of 664 collected from games of 245, 185 and 214. Aisah Silabay, another title-filled lady kegler secured the female Bowler of the Week with her 607 handicapped series share on Sabban EMC team 20-0 (3,656-3,377) domination of Mobily-Global. Greatly helped by Joel Nidoy at 626, Silabay snapped honor with games of 177, 205 and 225. TC Jamon (569), Marcelo Manalo (615), Ding dela Rosa (618) and Albert Abug (615) supported Silabay ang Nidoy on this successful match.
