JEDDAH: The 2011 take on the classic Chevrolet Corvette Coupe and Grand Sport have arrived in showrooms in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Lebanon, Qatar and the UAE this week for purchase. The 2011 Corvette duo make a powerful combination in the Middle East this season with an internal upgrade including a premium audio system with navigation and a USB port now fitted as standard, in addition to available interior custom color stitching. Externally, the Corvette is also available in two new colors: Inferno Orange and Supersonic Blue. The Coupe is granted an optional performance dual-mode exhaust which is available standard on the Grand Sport. New Eagle F1 Supercar GEN 2 tires come available when combined with the magnetic selective ride control and manual transmission on Grand Sport. The 6.2L V-8 is the engine in Corvette and Grand Sport models. It is rated at 430 horsepower and 575 Nm of torque with the standard exhaust system. An optional dual-mode exhaust system brings a power rating increase to 436 horses and 580 Nm of torque. A standard six-speed manual transmission and an optional six-speed automatic paddle-shift automatic are offered. The features give the Corvette a 0-100km time of 4.2 seconds and a top speed of 302 km/hr.
