Ashraf Issa has joined Credit Suisse as Global Market Leader GCC and Saudi Arabia for Private Banking Middle East/ISC, effective May 2008. He will be based in Geneva. Bruno Daher, head of Private Banking for the Middle East/ Indian sub-Continent and co-CEO of the Middle East, said “I am delighted that Ashraf Issa is joining Credit Suisse. With his extensive knowledge of the Gulf region generally and Saudi Arabia in particular, he will contribute significantly to strengthening Credit Suisse's business in this important growth region.” As Global Market Leader GCC and Saudi Arabia for Private Banking Middle East/ISC of Credit Suisse, Issa will drive growth and profitability in the strategically very important markets of GCC and Saudi Arabia for Credit Suisse. Issa joins Credit Suisse from American Express Bank where he was the former global head of Private Banking for Middle East and Turkey. Previously, he worked for American Express Bank in Cairo and Geneva as well as Merrill Lynch in Bahrain and Bank of America in Southern California, US. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California State University and a MBA from National University, Los Angeles.
