Published in The Saudi Gazette on 06 - 06 - 2008

Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) is extending it's offer to its subscribers on calls made to “favorite international” numbers, Ahmed Al-Hashimi, deputy chief of marketing, Mobily, said in a statement on Thursday.
According to the terms of the promotion, subscribers who have favorite international numbers can now enjoy a 50 percent discount, meaning they can call for twice the time.
Calls to Lebanon and Jordan for example, which cost SR 2.1 during peak periods will cost SR 0.78 under the promotion until, which last until June 13, 2008. Likewise, calls to the Philippines that cost SR2.70 during peak periods will cost no more than SR0.95 for favorite international numbers. For calls on favorite international numbers to Bangladesh and India, rates are SR0.85 and SR0.65 respectively, while calls made to favorite international numbers for Arab gulf countries like the United Arab Emirates are as low as SR0.40. Outside promotions, calls made to favorite international numbers enjoy a discount upwards of 25 percent during the peak destination assigned for the country that a subscriber is calling to - visit Mobily's site for more details (www.mobily.com.sa).
Mobily subscribers wishing to benefit from this high value promotion only need to register their favorite international number either by dialing 1499 or by sending an SMS text message to 1499 with the following text “if followed with your favorite number” or by calling the call center on 1100. The number chosen as a subscriber's favorite international number will have the same competitive rate all throughout the week, regardless of the time of day that the call is made. Calls are billed on a per second and not in whole minutes or parts of minutes.
Calls made on Fridays and Eid Holidays are charged at off-peak rates day or night. Regardless of whether subscribers use a prepaid or postpaid line, they will always enjoy the same competitive rates. There are no monthly rental charges for favorite numbers, and subscribers can choose their first favorite international number for free the first time. __
