WPCA holds awards ceremony

Western Province Cricket Association (WPCA) celebrated its successful season at a function attended by dignitaries including Pakistan Consul General Abdul Salik Khan at the Crown Steel Complex recently.
The ceremony was attended by special invitees and over 1000 cricket enthusiasts.
After recitation from the Holy Qur'an WPCA President Junaid Iskander spoke and also thanked Consul General of Pakistan, Saudi dignitaries, the WPCA Executive Committee and the cricketers.
Hamid Rashid, Shafeeq, Raja Mudassir, Imran Asad and Dr. Ziauddin assisted in the prize distribution.
The guests of honors who graced the function were Aamer Mohammed Khan (Chairman, Journalist Forum), Qasim Naqvi and Iftikhar Hussain (Saudi Cricket Center), Najeeb Mehboob Khan, Hassan Aseery, Mohammed Hanif (Vice President, Fuchs Al-Hamrani), Akbar Majed (Vice President, Safra Company) and Qadeer Malik (Contraco).

After the awards ceremony special bumper prizes such as LCD TVs and other electronic gadgets were given by Usman Gems to Kashif, Shafiq, Amer Sajjad, Abdul Moeed, Moazzam and Junaid of Usman Gems.
After the dinner a cultural event was staged by Amer Mohammed Khan along with famed Pakistani singer Rahim Shah, Rauf Lala, famous comedian and Jimmy. __
