The Ministry of Health is devising a new mechanism to define inoculation of new batches of students enrolling in various educational institutes next year. Dr. Kahled Al-Zahrani, Assistant Undersecretary for Preventive Medicine at the Ministry of Health has revealed a new mechanism defining the inoculation of the new batches of students enrolling in the various stages of general education next year. Under the new plan, primary students all over the Kingdom will be vaccinated in the first days of the beginning of the academic year, said Dr. Kahled Al-Zahrani, Assistant Undersecretary for Preventive Medicine at the Ministry of Health. He hoped that the new system would ensure immunization of all students in this age group. He also referred to a new 10-year national plan which the ministry would introduce next year saying that it would help in changing individuals' lifestyle to protect them from diabetes and obesity. The Kingdom is witnessing one percent increase in diabetic patients annually.– Okaz __
