A survey shows that among the 300-plus pavilions at the Shanghai World Expo, the Saudi Arabia Pavilion has become the favorite foreign pavilion of Chinese tourists, beating out the Japan Pavilion, according to the China News Service. The survey, conducted by the Horizon Research Consultancy Group, concluded that for the Chinese visiting the World Expo, the Saudi Arabia Pavilion “Moon Boat” with the world's biggest IMAX display was their favorite foreign pavilion. The Saudi Arabia Pavilion has attracted more than 1.6 million visitors to date, which amounts to more than 20,000 visitors a day. Those who want to visit the popular pavilion may need to wait for five to six hours in line, if they are not there early enough. The survey, which was conducted in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Wuhan, Chengdu, Dalian, Xi'an and Jinan, showed that the China Pavilion, Saudi Arabia Pavilion and Japan Pavilion received the highest evaluations. The China Pavilion is so popular mainly because the pavilion is very attractive and the Chinese visitors are very patriotic. The image of the red bracket “Oriental Crown” has deeply impressed Chinese visitors, and the pavilion exhibits bronze chariots and horses from the Terra Cotta Warriors. Since it open two months ago, more than 25 million have visited the Shanghai World Expo with 350,000 to 500,000 visiting daily in July.
