Mehran CC, Kashmir XI Champions

Mehran CC bludgeoned SAMBA CC and Kashmir XI defeated Champions CC to emerge as the Division A and Division B champions of the RCA Cricket Championship which was sponsored by Banque Saudi Fransi and organized by Riyadh Cricket Association.
At RCA ground 1, Mehran CC taking first strike got off to a flying start. Osman Khan blasted the SAMBA bowlers and reached his century in only 32 balls. He scored a brilliant 147 which contained 12 fours and 10 sixes. For SAMBA Yoga and Nusrath took 3 wickets each.
SAMBA CC, chasing an imposing target, got a good start from openers Hasnain (32) and Javed Imam (26). But once the openers were gone, the other batsmen were unable to score freely. SAMBA skipper Asif Khan played a gallant inning of 42 with 5 sixes and 1 four. The team was bowled out for 229. For Mehran CC Asad Khan took 4 wickets while Osman got two. Osman Khan was declared the Man of the Match.
In Division B, Kashmir XI easily overcame Champions CC by 4 wickets. Champions CC won the toss and took the first strike. But they mananged only 163 in the allotted 20 overs. For Kashmir XI, Fayyaz Bakshi took 3 wickets. Chasing a moderate target Kashmir XI lost its opener cheaply. But Azhar Qadri (47) and Waseem (42) batted well to take their team to fine victory. Azhar Qadri was declared the Man of the Match.
Division A semifinals:
SAMBA CC defeated PIA CC. Scores: PIA CC 196 (Khaled 25, M.Owais 24, Hasnain 4 wickets, Jameel Khan, Dilshad and Manzoor 2 each). SAMBA CC won in 19.1 overs (Hasnain 44, Jameel Khan 43 not out, Sohail and Owais two wickets each).
Mehran CC overwhelmed Sialkot CC by 7 wickets. Sialkot 118 (Asad Khan 4 wickets). Meharan CC (Asad Khan 37).
Division B semifinals:
Kashmir XI defeated KFSH RC greens by 96 runs. Kashmir XI 237 (Riyaz Ahmed 67, Waseem Ahmed 52, Azhar Qadri 51, Fayaz Bakshi 37, Mansoor Ali 2 wickets). KFSH Greens 140 (Javed Bakshi 52, Fayyaz Bakshi 5 wickets).
Champions CC routed Fuchs CC by 58 runs. Champions 176 (Nadeem 45, Nabeel 44, Naveed 29, Azizur Rahman 5 wickets). Fuchs CC 118 (Zafar Iqbal 36, Naveed 4-25). Man of the Match: Naveed. __
