Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) officials conduct inspections. The SDFA issued a warning Wednesday against a herbal tea containing the banned appetite suppressant sibutramine. The tea, named Paiyouji plus and produced by the YC.V Group of the United States and United Kingdom, is produced by a factory in China. A SFDA statement said that sibutramine was banned after being found to cause side effects on the heart and arteries, and said that Paiyouji plus tea was being withdrawn from the market.
