The Secondary Schools Olympic Games for the fourth year will begin at In 10 So at Al-Serafi Mega Mall here Tuesday. The competitions will be held in karting, darts, wall climbing, pool, billiards and boxing. This event is being held with the support and sponsorship of Abdul Latif Jameel Company – Toyota Yaris, Mobil 1 and Bridgestone tires. This was announced by Abdullah Bakhashab at In 10 So center during a press conference which was attended by sport fans, education specialists, schools principals and media men. Former Saudi rally driver Bakhashab, Chairman of the Project Owners Creative Developers, hopes these games to become the breeding ground of future talents. “In 10 So is one of the entertainment sport projects built to fulfill youth dreams giving them a creative and developed ways to participate in competitions,” Bakhashab said. “Determination coupled with patriotism is important for youth while taking up sports activities,” he added. This is an important step for amateurs to develop their skills to become great champions. Malek Ben Taleb, chairman of private schools committee, expressed his happiness in organizing such events since it benefits students. He also hoped to organize these games every year. The 13 schools participating in the games are: Al-Manarat, Dar Al-Thaghr, Talaea Al-Fekr, Jeel Al-Faisal (Al-Safa), Jeel Al-Faisal (Al-Gamah), Al-Ekha'a, Dar Al-Bayan, Dar Al-Marefah, Dar Al-Zekr, Ryad Al-Qura'an, Al-Nasr, Al-Aqsa and Al-Angal. Every school has the right to choose its team of 24 players to participate in six activities; two per discipline. The first competition was started in April 2006 with the participation of many private schools. It bought out many talented but budding stars. __
