Crown Steel-MS match ends in a tie

Iftikhar and Moazzam hit tons, the clash between Crown Steel and Mahmood Saeed (MS) ended in a tie and Zultec defeated AOT My Style in the Premiere League of the WPCA Tournaments.
ATS, Mercedes Benz, Attieh Steel and Patel XI won against respective rivals in the Morning League. In the Afternoon Tournament, Nestle Mylo downed Crown Blue, Zultrack won against GCI and Red Sea Paints defeated MCC.
Crown Steel encounter against Mehmood Saeed turned out to be a cliffhanger with both the teams scoring 167-9 to tie the game. Mahmood Saeed, batting first, stroked 167 with Kashif scoring 44 in 28 balls, Niyaz made 41 in 29 balls as Aamer hit 31. Shoeb took 3-20, Aasim had 3-21. In reply, Crown Steel was stranded at 167-9 with Shoeb making 24. Kashif scalped 3-48 while Wajahat, Amjad and Farooque took 2 wickets each.
Zultec plundered 251-6 in the allotted 20 overs against AOT My Style. Abdullah Essa fell in the nervous nineties for 93 off 36 balls with 11 fours and 4 sixes. Owais made 33. Usman and Faisal grabbed 2 wickets each. Chasing this mammoth total AOT My Style fell short by 55 runs (196). Nadeem batted with determination to make 85 with 7 fours and 7 sixes and Rashid Malik made 46. Khalid got 3 while Hussain Bhatti and Ajmal took 2 wickets each.
In the Afternoon League, Nestle Mylo beat Crown Blue by 56 runs. Nestle made 157-8 through Basit 43 in 23 balls and Umer 37. Zubair took 3-25 and Tauseef and Junaid grabbed 2 wickets each. Crown Blue was folded for 101 as Zahid Qureshi bowled devastatingly to snatch 4-5 runs in 14 balls while Fahad , Usman and Faiyyaz took 2 wickets each. Junaid (34) and Murtuza (26) were the main scorers.
Zultrack was all out for 159 despite a magnificent bowling performance by Dr. Naveed who took 5-37 with his deceptive arm balls. Lateef got 2-20. Emad faced 22 balls for his 42 and Aarif made 33 and Moeed 30. GCI, in return, was bowled out for 124 as Sabeel of Zultrack did not allow the Insurers to get off the hook by grabbing 4-14. Aarif and Emad took 2 wickets each. Ayaz Jafri resisted with 46 and Talha made 28 in 13 balls to go down by 35 runs.
Mardan Cricket Club piled up 181-7 against Red Sea Paints as Yunus Rehman hit 10 boundaries and 3 sixes to compile 96 and Jameel made 41. Red Sea Paints achieved 182-7, thanks to Shareef for his 68 and Salim Butt's 45. Zahoor bowled well to scalp 3-26 for MCC.
In the Morning League, Safra racked up 207 against ATS as Iftikhar smashed 138 runs in just 59 balls with 21 fours and 2 sixes. Asif of ATS bowled his heart out to snatch 4-24 and Nadeem supported him with 3-27.
ATS chasing this big total and requiring almost 12 runs per over was home with 5 wickets in hand as Moeed stroked a gritty 74 with 13 hits to the fence and Afroze made 57. Aadil chipped in with 35 not out.
Mercedes Benz piled up 185-7 and defeated Usman Gems Green by huge 113 runs. Saifuddin stroked unbeaten 54. Siddique and Taj claimed 2 wickets each for Greeners. Usman Gems Green, in reply, was bundled out for just 73.
Universal Coil made 179-8 against Attieh Steel as Salman made 38 and Yasser 27. Arshad got 3-34 and Moazzam got 2 wickets.
In reply, Moazzam Shoukat batted like a champion as he cracked his second consecutive century (138) in 45 balls with 5 sixes and 19 fours. Attieh Steel won with 8 wickets in hand.
In a low scoring match, Mohtareef tasted defeat as Patel XI batting first made 127-6. Faisal made 50. Imran got 2-11. Mohtareef in response was all out for 107. Waheed scored 41. Faisal and Usman took 2 wickets each for Patels. __
