Jeddah's Health Affairs has denied allegations of mismanagement and administrative violations at the city's General Medical Commission, the body tasked with investigating medical reports. The allegations, brought by an anonymous female Saudi nurse, concern the failure of staff to keep to official working hours, favoritism in the handling of the public, and other administrative failings. The nurse also said she had been transferred to the Maternity and Children's Hospital in Jeddah after confronting the director of the General Medical Commission over her concerns. “There were good reasons for her transfer and if she thinks it was due to ulterior motives she should present the documents to prove it,” said Sami Badawoud, the head of Jeddah Health Affairs.
