Abid, Faraz power Barracuda to big victory

Parvez Abid's heroic knock of 94 and 4 for 20 by left-arm spinner Faraz helped Barracuda ICC thrash Saudi German Hospital by 136 runs, Pak Young beat Otex by 21 runs and Kanoo won over NCB by 15 runs in the 13th week matches of the Kanoo Premier Cup, which is sponsored by Kanoo Group and organized by Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA).
Barracuda ICC made 248-6 in 18 overs against Saudi German Hospital. Parvez Abid hit 94 in 42 balls, skipper Irfan Qureshi 38, Zameer 25 and Faraz 16. Mubeen claimed two wickets. Saudi German Hospital was all out for 112 in 10 overs. Mumtaz made 57, Waseem 25 and Irfan 16. Faraz claimed 4-20 and Irfan Qureshi 3-35.
Pak Young, batting first, was all out for 144 against Otex. Hassan topscored with 33, Hashim made 27, Arshad Khan 21 and Shakeel Ahmed 17. Amjad and Akram took 3 wickets each, Maqsood 2 while Akmal and Asif got one each. Otex was all out for 123 in 16 overs. Javed hit 50, Arif 27 and Talib 11. Shakeel Ahmed took 4-17, Abrar Uz Zaman 2 while Hassan, Ehthesham and Rafiq claimed one wicket each.
Kanoo made 182-6 in 18 overs against National Commercial Bank. Sami Khan scored 42, Rashid Khursheed 35, Junaid 35, Arshad 21 and Muhammad Rabi Zubair 19. Arif took 3 wickets, Zahid and Hashim Khan one each. NCB, in reply, managed 168-8 in 18 overs through Hashim Khan 38, Nadir Toor 33, Usman Syed Ali 28, Arif 26 and Ayaz 14. Majid took 3 wickets, Najamuddin 2 while Sami Khan, Moid and Shoukath one each.
In the 12th week matches, Hijaz-XI beat Kanoo-XI by 21 runs, Barracuda ICC beat ACE Travels by 58 runs and Sigma Paints Osfan-XI won against Otex by 87 runs.
