Published in The Saudi Gazette on 25 - 03 - 2010

Engineer Mohammed Abdul Latif Jameel, chief job creator at Bab Rizq Jameel (BRJ), a program of Abdul Latif Jameel Community Services Programs (ALJCSP), inaugurated the latest BRJ branch at Sairafi Mall in Jeddah.
He was accompanied by his sister Hadia Abdul Latif Jameel. During the inauguration, the new logo - BRJ - of Bab Rizq Jameel Family Shopping centers was launched.
The new branch will provide owners of small projects to rent diversified areas to start their business inside the mall. Benefits include flexible rental periods and areas, in addition to benefiting from BRJ umbrella inside the mall.
Engineer Jameel said the idea behind the new branch is to support female owners of small projects by providing them outlets to practice their businesses. At the center, they will be able to promote their products and services to visitors. He added that this service is provided inside BRJ branch, which provides job opportunity for females with support from the Human Resources Development Fund and Saudi Credit & Saving Bank.
Rola Basamad, director of BRJ branch in the center, said “the management of Bab Rizq Jameel is seeking to support females in our conservative society based on the instructions of our religion. We are seeking to empower females and to release their energies in a way that benefit them and their society. Accordingly, the business incubators programs, with its varied forms and sizes, is the ideal place for females who desire to start their businesses within an environment that support them and at competitive prices. We adopt their ideas and offer them marketing ideas. The center is equipped with administrative offices from which project owners may benefit in areas of marketing, mediation, design and social, educational and nutritional consultation. In addition, the center provides technical support in terms of communication, Internet and secretarial services free of charge, to assist females with part of the expenses. In addition, we are currently considering a new way to link between females who already started their businesses through a new technique in which families could easily make their shopping accompanied with the fathers. That is how the idea of creating centers that serve the whole family in our new centers, not only the women.”
The new BRJ Sairfi Mega Mall is the new generation of BRJ family shopping. The center is characterized with its modern design that fulfills aspirations of modern shoppers who enjoy the shopping experience. BRJ Sairafi includes a huge and diversified collection of local and imported products. The center organizes a series of events that turns it into an attractive entertainment destination for families in Jeddah.
“The center includes 50 commercial outlets that provides 50 job opportunities, in addition to the 200 job opportunities created by job creation programs provided by BRJ,” she added.
