Ace Bautista lifts Eraserheads to bag a double

awarded Ronald Bautista displayed his bowling prowess with a towering four-game series scratch of 1,005 points on lines of 258, 255, 248 and 244 to bag the Bowler of the Week Awards. His heroics also helped defending champion Eraserheads capture the Team of the Week award in the 10th week of the Almarai Saturday Bowling League at the Universal Bowling Center ((UBC).
The league is sponsored by Almarai Company and organized by the Filipino Bowling Group of Riyadh (FBGR). ABS-CBN The Filipino Channel (TFC) is also supporting the tilt.
Bautista's remarkable performance piloted Eraserheads past Fathi Bowlers, 22-13. Benito Santos, Andro Tismo and Jojo Gabriel seared the lanes to score separate series of 875, 835 and 804 while Willy Nogoy had 782 points. Eraserheads astounding victory widened their lead on top.
For Fathi Bowlers, Gayner Elias shot 831 points and coming next were Jun Bantug (784), Erwin Nacario (753) and Abdullah Amoudi (749). Fahad Al-Haza posted 559 points in three games while Ben Torrefiel downed 201 in one game.
Wala Pa Eh! upset Royal Archer, 20-14 through Sidney Kawi who drilled in 919 points. Kawi carded 215, 253, 204 and 243. Next best came from Arnold Salcedo (839) and he was followed by Ruben Rialon (816) and Luis Bonguit (697). Jerry Damiray and Sonny Alviso chipped in separate series of 401 and 377 in two games.
Doy del Moral, Rodel Molina and Nap Torres led in Royal Archer by tallying 841, 833 and 825 while Edwin Nunez and Fareed Aquino rolled 755 and 686.
Over Hit-2 recorded another impressive victory against Alsalam Air Strikers, 20-5. The heroics of Marvin Arocena and Victor Edan put them on top in Over Hit-2 by posting separate series of 837 and 738 points respectively. Noel Ordonez and Butch Mateo added 599 and 574 series in three outings while Arnold Quindara and Gannie Gabriel contributed 392 and 386. Hani Al-Nasleh sealed 186 in one game.
Fastrising Mario Rivera toppled 822 points to be at the center stage in Alsalam Air Strikers and he was followed by Rollie Cleofe (750), Rizal Dellosa (657) and Bandar Al-Marshad (656). Bernie Bacani and Efren Abuyo hit 371 and 335.
Fuji Elevators proved too strong to Talent Management, 20-11. At the forefront in Fuji Elevators were Edgar Buenaventura (846), Jerry Austria (822) and Fhel Ramos (813). Ruel Toledo, Chito Llagas and Wilson Bacala shared 590, 562 and 401.
Joe Garrido was at the helm in the Talent Management with 822 points while Willie Ortega rolled 761 points. Gigi Enriquez and Jett Cabana submitted 732 and 730 while Joe Ligon collected 670 points.
In other games, Nadec Strokers dismantled Almarai Company 16-1 and SABB-One HSBC downed Orbit Showtime 16-10.
Over Hit-2, mentored by Hani Al-Nasleh, and Doy del Moral of Royal Archer captured the Team and Bowler of the Week Awards respectively in the 9th week.
Over Hit-2 shocked favorite Fuji Elevators by posting 20 big points against 7. The sterling performances of lefty Arnold Quindara (883), experienced Butch Mateo (853) and promising Ganie Gabriel (805) helped Over Hit-2 blank Fuji Elevators.
It was the heroics of the week's best bowler Doy del Moral that helped Royal Archer nip the back-to-back champion Eraserheads, 16-15. Del Moral grilled a towering four-game series of 928, having a game high of 268 in his card.
In other games, SABB-One HSBC clobbered Wala Pa Eh!, 18-14, Nadec Strokers wallopped Alsalam Air Strikers, 16-10, Fathi Bowlers defeated Orbit Showtime 14-12 and Talent Management rolled past Almarai, 16-2.
