Swadi lifts Deccan Knights

Muhammad Umar Swadi hit a magnificent 116 runs and medium pacer Ghouse took 4-19 to give Deccan Knights a 152-run win against Usfan Youngsters, Nisar's knock of 95 helped Micro Engineering beat KAIA, Bupa downed Khulais and Butt Sports defeated Babar Toor in the 5th week matches of the Division-II Al-Harazi Cup which is sponsored by the Al-Harazi Trading & Contracting Est. and organized by the Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA).
Deccan Knights, batting first, scored 250-3 in 18 overs against Usfan Youngsters-XI. Muhammad Umar Swadi who was the best batsman of the previous tournament, hit yet another memorable knock of 116 with 9 boundaries and 8 sixes. Khaja Mohiuddin remained unbeaten on 47, captain Syed Meer made 21, Firdous 21 and Imran 15 not out. Veteran spinner and JCA genral secretary Syed Majeedul Hassan took 2-30 and Mohammed Ameen 1-40. Usfan Youngsters were bundled out for 98. The notable run-getters were Shakeel 18, Imran 17, Sajid 14 and Amjad Abbasi 12. Ghouse took 4-20, Khaja 2-10 while Alam and Imran got one each.
KAIA, batting first, scored 163-4 against Micro Engineering through Shoaib 65, Hussain 39, Parvez 16 not out, Farooq 11, Irfan 11 and Asif 9. Fast bowler Mujahed took 2 wickets. Micro Engineering reached 165-2 in 12.4 overs as Nisar cracked a match-winning 95 and Ajju made 24. Haseeb and Nur Khan got one wicket each.
Khulais, batting first, made 185-4 against Bupa. Mussarath made the bulk of the runs as he made 97. Mohammed Asif hit 32, Mohammed Ismail 16 and Ali Parwal 9. Abdullah took 2 wickets while Ghayas got one. Bupa reached 186-9. Abdullah was the match-winning batsman as he scored 58, 18 runs each came from Ghayas and Sadath, Zahid made 13 and Toufeeq 12. Haneef and Aslam took 3 wickets each while Abid claimed 2.
In the last match of the day, Butt Sports tallied 179-6 Babar Toor. Imran Butt and Irfan Butt scored half centuries – 51 and 50 runs respectively. Tariq Butt made 32, Junaid Butt 21 and Amjad Ali 12. Fast bowler Shabbir claimed 2 wickets while Jameel got one. Babar Toor, in reply, made 161-5. Amanullah made 57, Ehsan 22, Fakhar 18 and Jameel Khan 16. __
