Screen legend Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek both said they would not attend the Filmfare Awards Saturday evening after the Mumbai Mirror published a story about Abhishek's wife, actress and former Miss World Aishwarya Rai. Amitabh Bachchan wrote on his blog overnight Friday-Saturday that the family had not received a public apology from the newspaper for alleging earlier this month that Rai could not have children. A legal notice had been sent demanding a retraction and apology, he added.
