year-old man was arrested after he showed suspicious behavior during Friday Fajr prayers in the Prophet's Mosque here. Imam and Khateeb of the Prophet's Mosque Sheikh Salah Al-Budair was leading the prayers. Authorities are interrogating the man. Colonel Muhsin Al-Raddadi, Madina Police spokesman, said policemen at mosque's Mihrab (prayer niche) area spotted the suspect not following the prayer leader in Ruk'oo and Sujood (kneeling and prostration). The man was arrested and “sharp” knives were seized from his possession. The spokesman did not reveal the suspect's identity. The Mihrab area, south of Arrawda (the area between the Prophet's home and the Minbar), is guarded all the time including during prayers. An entrance is allocated for the imam and for receiving coffins for funeral prayers.
