Fuji Elevators burned the lanes to capture the Team of the Week award while Orbit Showtime's Atoi Ramos landed the Bowler of the Week honor during the 5th week of the keenly contested Almarai Saturday Bowling League being held at the Universal Bowling Center (UBC) here. The league is organized by the Filipino Bowling Group of Riyadh (FBGR). The excellent performances of Fuji Elevators' captain Jerry Austria, Ammar Yamin and Ruel Toledo powered the team to dismantle Orbit Showtime 24-9. Austria top-scored by posting a series of 878 in four games while Ammar followed by knocking down 874 points. Likewise, Toledo shot 814 points. Fhel Ramos and Chito Llagas seared the lanes to chip in with 789 and 770 points, respectively. Taking center stage for Orbit Showtime, mentored by Rodel Canda, was Atoi Ramos, the Week's Best Bowler awardee. Ramos exploded with 919 points on lines of 22, 268, 23 and 195. Glenn Espiritu and Larry Baleros contributed 755 and 721 while Resty de Jesus and Ariel Feliciano added 685 and 679 points respectively. Back-to-back champion, Eraserheads recorded another impressive victory against Over Hit 2, 22-4 through the deadly duo of Arnel Gordovez (831) and Ronald Bautista (819). Zaldy Torres and Andro Tismo sizzled to follow Gordovez and Bautista by tallying 762 and 755, while Willy Nogoy and Jojo Gabriel contributed 403 and 340 series in two games. Victor Edan fired 712 points to lead in Over Hit 2. Following him was Marvin Arocena with 632 points and Butch Mateo with 600. Dennis Gabriel, Hani Al-Nasleh and Arnold Quindara collected separate series of 560, 525 and 503 in three games. SABB-One HSBC brushed aside Alsalam Air Strikers 20-5 and saw the combination of Leo Mabunga and Cas Encila shine to topscore for SABB-One HSBC. Mabunga and Encila topscored with 799 and 797. Jojo Paciano and Mike Ecalnir produced 634 and 595, while Yasser Mohammed and Jun Jabonero registered scores of 467 and 367. Reliable Mario Rivera posted 708 series to lead in Alsalam Air Strikers and he was followed by Rizal Dellosa (578), Bernie Bacani (543) and Rollie Cleofe (536). Team captain Bandar Al-Marshad and Efren Abuyo contributed 375 and 280 series in two games. In another match, Royal Archer walloped Almarai Company in straight four games, 19-0. Nap Torres, Edwin Nunez and Fareed Aquino led Royal Archer by posting scores of 806, 766 and 765. For Almarai, on top was the duo of Jun Daniel (659) and Romy Cabrillas (655). Fathi Bowlers dismantled Talent Management, 15-8 and at the helm for Fathi Bowlers was Fahad Al-Haza with 781 points. Following him were Gayner Elias (770), Larry Mondoy (721), Ben Torrefiel (713) and Fathi Abdulaziz (707). Jett cabana scored 811 points to lead the Talent Management. Willie Ortega and Allan dela Rosa followed with scores of 737 and 616. Nadec Strokers nipped Wala Pa Eh!, 12-9 and the leading scorers for Nadec Strokers were Ruben Babasa (785), Jove Marano (686) and Reynald Medina (583).
