An Indian man carrying a plastic bag full of water bottles who was stopped by police in the Al-Safa District here on Sunday led authorities to an “'araq” production operation at a nearby apartment. The man's nervous behavior led the police to inspect the contents of the bottles, and after they found them to contain the locally produced alcoholic beverage their questioning uncovered the source at the nearby home of two other persons of the same nationality. When officers raided the apartment they found ten large barrels of alcohol and extensive fermenting and distilling equipment used in its production.
