Teachers who are divorced or have lost a parent are among the special cases that will be eligible for immediate transfer to a region of their choice in the Kingdom, states the new procedures for the transfer of teachers. The new procedures, approved by Minister of Education Prince Faisal Bin Abdullah, are meant to assist teachers with special circumstances. Among other cases are teachers with diseases that cannot be treated in the region where their school is located, and teachers with severely sick children or spouses. Also, teachers who suffer from psychological illnesses will also be eligible for transfer. The new decision is effective within a month. All transfer applications for special cases will be reviewed by a ministerial committee.
