Kanoo Inter-Division Cricket League kicks off today

The 13th Kanoo Inter-Division Cricket League 2009-10 for Western Province will kick off Friday. Kanoo Inter-Division Leagues are conducted by Kanoo Group of companies all over the Kingdom for its employees and joint venture, subsidiaries and associates as part of its corporate policy of promoting sports in general and cricket in particular. Five teams participating in the league are: Finance, Power & Industrial Projects, Freight, Travel and Commercial. The defending champion, Finance, has won the trophy twice, Travel thrice, Power & Industrial Projects five times and Group twice. All the five teams will play each other in league matches of 15 overs on a single leg round-robin basis. The top four teams will play the knock-out of 20 overs to decide the winner and the runnerup teams.
