King's decision on private college tuition fees hailed

Chairmen of the Council of Trustees and Deans of private colleges in the Makkah region and the Eastern Province have praised the decision of King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, to support students studying at private universities and colleges.
They said the decision reflects the great attention given by the King to students.The president and staff of the University of Prince Mohammed Bin Fahd lauded the decision.
Dr. Eisa Bin Hussein Al-Ansari, president of the university, said the decision will enable students to enroll in courses of their choice in government and private universities.
“It also stands as a witness to the attention given by the state to private education,” he said.
Meanwhile, Dr. Shali Al-Jadani, the chairman of the board of directors of Ibn Sina College for Medical Sciences, said the decision embodies the keenness of the Saudi leadership to enable Saudi youth to obtain knowledge.
Dr. Abdullah Dahlan, Chairman of the board of trustees of the College of Business Administration in Jeddah, said the decision reflects the farsightedness of the King. He hailed the support extended by the state to private education.
Eng. Zuheir Fayez, Chairman of the board of trustees of Dar Al-Hekma College in Jeddah, described the decision as a great achievement, and said the decision has made the families of outstanding students happy. He noted that the King realizes the importance of knowledge and the significant role it plays in the development of the nation.
Dr. Suheir A-Quraishi, Dean of Dar Al-Hekma, said the decision embodies the keenness of the King to enable Saudi girls to acquire knowledge in various domains.
