Rabea, Minister of Health, has instructed the authorities concerned to dispense the H1N1 swine flu treatment Tamiflu to all patients in the private and public sectors according to set procedures. In turn, the Ministry of Health has directed all its sectors including hospital and primary care health centers to dispense Tamiflu to patients coming from private hospitals stressing that the prescription should include all the necessary information about the patient as well the doctor's seal. The Director at the Directorate of Health Affairs in Makkah has sent a circular to all health sectors in the region approving the dispensing of Tamiflu to all patients. King Abdullah issued an order last year to the Ministry of Health stating that the government would bear the expenses of the treatment of those affected by the viral disease in all the Kingdom's private and public hospitals.
