As part of the company's expansion plan, Marble and Granite International Company Limited, a subsidiary of Construction Products Holding Company (CPC), recently acquired a marble factory from Greece. This factory is expected to contribute to increase sales of Greek marble in Saudi Arabia. In addition, Marble and Granite International Company Limited is planning to buy marble factories in Italy and China as it pursues its growth strategy. Dr. Faysal Ibrahim Alaquil, Business Development director and Administrative Affairs and official spokesman of Construction Products Holding Company, said: “Marble and Granite International Co. Ltd., is one of the largest marble and granite companies in the Middle East, and has one of the largest and most advanced marble factories in the world, equipped with the latest machineries for cutting and formation of marble. In addition it has concessions for 25 granite quarries in Saudi Arabia, where the company is extracting and cutting Saudi granite for use in the local market as well as for export to the international market.”
