A magnificent century by Montaser powered Bangladesh International School (BDIS) to victory over Middle East International School (MEIS) in the ongoing Zultec Cup Inter-School Cricket Tournament.
The tournament is sponsored by Zultec and matches are played every Thursday.
Taking first strike the BDIS boys got off to a rollicking start as their openers Montaser and Opu Sydul hammered the MEIS bowlers to all parts of the ground. Opu made a fine 48 runs, but Montaser continued his stroke-making as he clubbed 15 fours and 1 six in his innings of 105 runs.
Later, Iman made a quickfire 43 to take the team to 226-2 in the allotted 20 overs.
The MEIS boys started their chase disastrously by losing the last two wickets cheaply. M. Ibrahim (36), Sohaib (30) and Talal (20) tried to salvage the situation but MEIS could make only 179 in the 20 overs. For BDIS Montaser completed his all-round display by taking 3 wickets.
