Khan, Irfan, Ismail shine

round performance by skipper Zahid Khan enabled his team Ahmed Cricket Club (ACC) to win against King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) by 10 runs, Syed Irfan's 4-21 earned Deccan Knights a 7-wicket win against BUPA, Abdul Lateef Jamil (ALJ) beat Saudi City by 6 wickets and Al-Ghudaid Cricket team won over MMAS Cricket Club in the JCA Division-II morning session tournament which is sponsored by Al-Harazi Trading & Contracting Est.
At JCA ground 3, skipper Zahid Khan of Ahmed Cricket Club (ACC) elected to bat first against KAIA and scored 156-7 in 18 overs through Zahid Khan (44 retired), Ismail Bin Mehfooz (26), Quddoos (21) and Ibrahim Bin Mehfooz (16). The wicket-takers were Mukhtar (3-35), Suhail (2-30) and Mufeez (1-17).
KAIA in return made 146-9. Rimsaan topscored with 62 and Ghufran made 22. Right-arm off-spinner Zahid Khan took 5-28 and left-arm spinner Azam 3-37. ACC wicketkeeper Ismail had 5 victims behind the stumps.
In the second match, ALJ beat Saudia City by 6 wickets. Saudia City batting first was all out for 95. Akram (29) and Hisham (10) were the main scorers. Adil took 2-4, Madhu 2-6, Basheer 2-6 and Tanvir 1-17. In reply, ALJ reached the target (100) for the loss of 4 wickets in 11 overs.
Tanvir remained unbeaten on 29, Javed Ali made 22, Adil 14 and Basheer 15 not out. For ALJ Afzal took 2 -13, Khalid 1-3 and Ashfaq 1- 9.
In the third match, BUPA, batting first, was all out for 94. Moiz led the scorers with 26 not out. Imran made 20. Syed Irfan used the breeze to swing the ball well and took 4-21 with his medium pace bowling. Syed Ghouse had 2-10, Sameen 1-7 and Shahid 1-14.
The Deccan Knights reached the target (96-3) in 8.4 overs. Maintaining his batting form Mohammad Omar Sawadi hit 54. Maroof took 2-18 and Yahiya 1-34.
In the last match of the day, Al-Ghudaid tasted their first victory against MMAS Cricket Club. Batting first, Al-Ghudaid made 153-6. Nawaz topscored with 23. Mussawir took 1-15, Waleed 1-41 and Tanvir 1-27 for MMAS cricketers.
In reply, MMAS cricketers made 130-9 in 18 overs through Muzawar (38), Waleed (13), Nawaz (12) and Tanvir (10). Babar and Muzammil took 3 wickets each. Al
