The Zahra Breast Cancer Association inaugurated the Kingdom's first mammogram clinic last week in Riyadh at the Four Seasons Hotel, under the patronage of Princess Hessa Bint Trad Al-Shaalan. Princess Haifaa Al-Faisal, Chairperson of Zahra Breast Cancer Association, stated that the campaign aims at raising awareness amongst citizens as to what is considered a major medical concern. She also mentioned that the first specialized clinic sent in the One Million and One Flowers will go to Aseer. In cooperation with the pharmaceutical giant Roche, the association has provided three mobile clinics and one specialized center to receive patients since April this year. The association has also established a Pink Home Corner “Rukn Albait Alwardi” in which women can go and receive the required educational information from specialized doctors. The association has collaborated with 34 hospitals to offer free or low-charged mammogram examinations in Riyadh, Jeddah, the Southern province, the Eastern province, Al-Qassim, Madinah Al-Munawarah and Yanbu.
