Princess Adla to chair Khadija Center

JEDDAH – Princess Adla Bint Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz has agreed to chair the Board of Directors of the all-female Al-Sayyda Khadija Bint Khuwailid Center, an affiliate of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Executive Director of the Center Basma Al-Umair said the Princess's consent would serve to accelerate the center's work and motivate its members. – Okaz/SG
Ambulance services conference next month

JEDDAH – Prince Miteb Bin Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz, Assistant Commander of the of National Guard for Military Affairs, is scheduled to patronize an international conference on ambulance and medical services here next month. National Guards Executive Director of Health Affairs and Director of King Saud Bin Abdul Aziz University for Health Sciences Bandar Al-Qanawi said the three-day conference aims to introduce a new definition of ambulance services, and will address topics such as staff performance development, challenges posed by Haj crowds and the latest developments in disaster medicine. – Okaz/SG
Saudi-Qatari joint meeting concludes
RIYADH – The joint Saudi-Qatari technical committee on land and sea borders between the two countries concluded its 7th meeting here Monday evening. The Saudi side was headed by President of Survey General Commission Murrie Bin Hassan Al-Shahrani and the Qatari side by Assistant Foreign Minister for Followup Affairs Mohammed Bin Abdullah Al-Rumaihi. The meeting agreed to hold the 8th meeting of the joint Saudi-Qatari technical committee in Doha, Qatar on Dec. 7. – SPA
Saudi aid plane arrives in Jakarta
JAKARTA – A Saudi relief plane with 83 tons of food stuffs arrived at Sokarno-Hatta International Airport here Monday evening. The plane was received by Saudi Ambassador to Indonesia Abdulrahman Bin Mohammed Amin Al-Khayat and a number of officials. The Saudi Ambassador said that the relief emanates from the keenness of King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, to help all countries affected with natural disasters. – SPA
Radiology conference begins in Makkah
MAKKAH – The first International Radiology Conference kicked off here Monday evening. The three-day conference, organized by the Scientific Council of Radiology, an affiliate of Makkah Region's Directorate General for Health Affairs, is addressing several important issues and latest developments in the field of diagnostic radiology and other types of radiology. Specialists in diagnostic radiology from Saudi National Guard, Military and Specialist hospitals, and the Ministry of Health are taking part in the event with speakers from the Gulf, Mideast and the United states.– SPA
MWL to take part in Cairo conference
MAKKAH – The Muslim World League will participate in the two-day seminar on the history of the Arab World in Cairo starting Wednesday. Dr Abdulrahman Al-Eifan, Director General of the administration of Culture and Publication at the MWL will attend the conference.
