Jipco Nai and Luna in final

Jipco Nai overpowered Madrasa Maaz while Luna conquered International Indian School Jeddah in the semifinals of the Level III-T20 championship which is sponsored by Saudi Pan Gulf and organized by Western Province Cricket Association at Al-Eskan Cricket Complex here.
Azhar Butt, Ataa, Habib, Anjum and Sufyan scored half centuries.
In the first semifinal, Jipco Nai defeated Madrasa Maaz comfortably by four wickets. Batting first, Madrasa Maaz scored 162 runs in the allotted 20 overs.
Rafiq scored 35, blasting two balls over the fence. Tariq and Asad Butt contributed 20 runs each. Saif and Shafiq were the pick of the bowlers who took 2 wickets each for 21 and 19 runs respectively. Imran, Najeeb and Sajjad claimed one wicket each.
In pursuit of the target, Jipco Nai lost six wickets. Azhar Butt was in excellent form. He hit all around the wicket for an unbeaten 61. Emad anchored in with useful 23 while Shafiq, Najam and Atif scored 18, 16 and 13 runs respectively. Adnan chipped in with two wickets for 15 and Shahid 2 for 34.
In the other semifinal, Luna trounced International Indian School by 24 runs. Batting first, Luna piled up a huge 210 in the allotted 20 overs. Luna's prime batsmen Anjum and Ataaur Rehman hammered IISJ bowlers. The aggressive Anjum tossed the ball 3 times out of the ground for 54 while Ataa was retired hurt at 53. Another thunderous half century came out from the bat of Habib who hit 6 fours and 4 sixes. Jahangir also contributed 25. Sufyan, Shabab and Abbas shared one wicket each. Indian International School Jeddah, chasing the target, exhibited some good batting performance and put up 186 for 9. The Saudi U-19 player Sufyan batted with flair and fluency for 65. He hit 3 fours and 3 sixes. Other useful contributions came from Abbas (37), Waqas (27), Shabeet (17) and Neeraj (16). Jehangir claimed 3 for 31 while Aftab, Jawaid and Nadeem got one wicket each.
Matches were supervised by Waseeq Sherwani, Shabbir Ahmad, Wajahat Hussain and Farooq. The Players of the Semifinals were Azhar Butt and Anjum. __
