Kaki, AIC, Hanco prevail

Kaki Aluminum and Glass Factory tasted victory when it defeated New Breed Alshaya 96-80 in a thrilling encounter in the Bona Fide Group B division of the Filipino Basketball Tournament at Saudi Hi-Tech Compound here.
Manaloto was the top player for Kaki team who scored 24 points. San Antonio (23) and Gapas (9) lent his good support. Lawrence Mendoza topscored for New Breed Alshaya with 25 points. He was followed by Itsuinaz (12) and Navarro (9).
Arabian International Company (AIC) and Hanco teams remained on top of their divisions. AIC team of coach Noli Albis and team manager Emad Zagzoog beat an equally strong team Toyota-ALJ of coach Jun Avelino and Benjo Cesar 88-80. Arnain Amir of AIC had a team-high 22 points followed by Bison 13, Fajardo 12 and Rosos 10 while top scorers for Toyota-ALJ were Taguba with 24 points, Sofian 24, Dela Cruz 22 and Al-Tawil with 15 points.
Both Hanco Maintenance teams of Bona Fide Group A and B of coach Jess Manlapaz and manager Edgar Ainza emerged victorious in the Thursday games. Hanco A beat Petro-Rabigh team of Ric Zaragoza, Tony Ordonio and Rainer Panlilio 81-74 and Hanco B beat Al-Shuman 79-68. Hanco's main scorers were Estrada 23, Aquino 10, Catador 24, Manansala 13 and Alemios 13. For the Petro Rabigh ,Nalus had 19 points, Solomon 17 and Abatayo 12.
In the Friday games, Al-Shuman team of coach Warren and Alex Tinio of Bona Fide Group B division marked its first win in its second match against Al-Tamayuz Sitteen of coach Gerry Ygrubay, 75-57. Al-Shuman topscorers were Arjay 19, Zapanta 18 and Pol 14 while Serras 12 and Canobas 10 scored well for Al-Tamayuz.
Other results:
Rosewood 85, Saudi Hi-Tech 75: Reyes 33, Esquibel 17 and Catalan 14 scored well for Rosewood Corniche Hotel team of coach Gilbert Borquin. The combined efforts of Jorge, Garcia and Rambo of Saudi Hi-Tech team of Rudy Ruaya and coach Mario de los Santos went in vain.
Dabarkads 73, Jeddah Kickers 64: Melendez 18, Villegas 15 and Raquisa 9 lifted Dabarkads of Roy dela Cruz to its second win in the Inter-Commercial Open C Division nailing Jeddah Kickers of Gilbert Banal.
Al-Salam Hospital 84, KFAFH-Shawly 70: Gonzales scored 23, Cartagena 22 and Rubia 10 for Al-Salam of Eric de Castro.
