UPS delivers camel milk chocolates around world

The world's largest package delivery company, UPS , on Thursday announced it is working with Al Nassma Chocolate LLC (Al Nassma), the first company in the world to produce camel milk chocolate, to deliver these unique confections to the region and around the globe.
Al Nassma is a true innovator in the chocolate industry and one of the first luxury food products conceived in Dubai. The company is headquartered in Dubai in Umm Nahad, adjacent to the Camelicious camel farm, the sole supplier of camel milk to Al Nassma.
Faced with the challenge of transporting the chocolates in the extreme temperatures of the Middle East, Al Nassma turned to UPS for transport consultancy and courier services, as well as transportation network oversight and contingency support.
John Tansey, general manager, UPS UAE LLC, said “It has been a fantastic challenge to understand and manage the cultural and logistical issues presented by transporting Al Nassma's camel milk chocolates. Using temperature controlled packaging and strategic routing enables the chocolates to be transported at optimal temperatures and spend the shortest possible time in transit. This way, we ensure timely, safe and quality-controlled delivery of what can be considered as the signature chocolate of Arabia.”
UPS connects the world through its fully integrated air, ground and ocean network spanning more than 200 countries and territories. UPS transports the Al Nassma chocolates from the production site and hand-delivers them to royal families, heads of state and luxury hotels throughout the region, as well as renowned department stores in the United States, Japan and Europe.
“Al Nassma needed to ensure that a quality product like ours reaches our customers all over the world in perfect condition. By using UPS's outstanding services, we are now able to send camel milk chocolates to the rest of the world and put a smile on the faces of Al Nassma's friends wherever they are,” said Martin van Almsick, general manager, Al Nassma.
