Dresser Inc., an international leader in the design, manufacture and service of process control and safety relief valve solutions under the brand names Dresser Masoneilan and Dresser Consolidated expanded its operations in Saudi Arabia with the opening of a new valve manufacturing and repair facility. The newly expanded facility is owned and operated by Darvico (a joint venture between Dresser and the Al-Rushaid Group). Darvico has an established record of success in the region, including the recent Khurais project, a major oil and gas production facility for the Saudi Aramco Oil Corporation. Darvico is currently the only approved control valve and safety relief valve manufacturer in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The new state-of-the-art facility expands Darvico's ability to provide conventional and severe service valve technologies to Saudi Arabia's process industry leaders, including Aramco and the Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), one of the world's leading manufacturers of chemicals, fertilizers, plastics and metals. “Dresser already has a solid relationship with Saudi Arabia's oil and gas and petrochemical industries,” Jorge Mendez VP of Global Sales at Dresser Masoneilan said. “The new Darvico facility will further enable us to use the latest advances in technology, production, repair and service processes, to better support our customers.” Darvico has nearly 50,000 square feet of workspace outfitted with sophisticated valve manufacturing and repair equipment including computerized valve testing machinery and machining equipment. With almost 100 employees, Darvico draws upon leading expertise to deliver exceptional valve solutions.
