National carrier Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) has approved a new executive structure, including – for the first time – a deputy director. In addition, 19 assistant directors, three deputy assistant directors, and nine general directors were appointed. The new structure, which comes as part of the privatization process of the national airline, has been approved by Assistant Minister of Defense and Aviation Prince Fahd Bin Abdullah Bin Muhammad. The privatization of Saudia has been approved by the Saudia board of directors and reviewed by the Saudi Supreme National Economic Council. “The new structure of Saudia executive jobs comes within the comprehensive plan of founding the new holding company of the airline, whose shares will be floated in an IPO in the Saudi stock market,” Saudia Director General Khaled A. Al-Molhem, said. It is a historic moment in the development of the national carrier, which will bring about more service improvements, he added.
