Members of a medical team at the King Fahd Hospital in Al Ahsa have successfully on Friday conducted a rare tumor removal surgery. The 28-year-old male patient was suffering from a rare tumor located above the heart and lungs, said Dr. Abdulmohsen Al-Mulhem, Director of King Fahd Hospital. The operation required practical skills and accuracy due to high risk because the tumor was adjacent to the heart and lungs, he said. The seriousness of this tumor lies in its increase in size and the possibility of becoming malignant, he added.
