day exhibition and conference for Saudi real estate development and investment entitled “Cityscape” will open on June 14 under the patronage of Prince Mishal Bin Majed, the Governor of Jeddah, at the Jeddah Center for Forums and Events.
Nearly 100 Saudi and Gulf exhibitors will showcase their products in an area of ten thousand square meters with the aim of achieving a breakthrough in new investment and the marketing of real estate.
“The Conference will feature a number of panel discussions on the long-term effects of environmental work in Saudi Arabia, in addition to the effects of the global financial crisis on real estate investment and development in the Kingdom,” said Dr. Abdullah Al-Marei Bin Mahfouz, Vice-President of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry. “The latest developments on the regulation of real estate and real estate law and investment opportunities, compliant with the provisions of Islamic Sharia, will also be discussed,” he said.
He pointed out that speakers, who are experts in the field, will discuss various issues relating to real estate and economic affairs. The implications of the global financial crisis and its impact on real estate development and investment opportunities in Saudi Arabia will also be highlighted.
He emphasized that the conference will provide a full review of the strategic plan for the comprehensive development of Jeddah over the next four years. The mayor of Jeddah Adil Faqih will give a brief account of the progress of the Central Jeddah Project and the efforts to convert Jeddah into a city with high standards of living and environmental protection.
The governor of the Saudia Arabia General Investment Authority (SAGIA) Amr A. Al-Dabbagh will highlight the importance of the economic future of the cities of Saudi Arabia and Dr. Abdul Aziz Khudairi, deputy governor of Makkah, will present a working paper on the development of Makkah.
