A man in his forties divorced his wife and married another woman after she answered the telephone and informed the caller he had dialed the wrong number Upon hearing his wife's words to the unknown person, her husband snatched the telephone and heard a surprised and stumbling voice at the other end of the line before the caller hung up. Attempts to redial found the telephone switched off, inciting the husband into a jealous rage and a refusal to hear his wife's explanation. The wife was then sent back to her family's house, divorce papers in hand, where she suffered a nervous breakdown and was admitted to hospital. Efforts on the part of her family to reach an amicable settlement to the dispute with her husband failed, and the man instead insisted on a divorce and, further to that, went and asked for the hand of another woman the very same night.
