The Commission for Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice (Hai'a) has held courses in communication skills and personal development for its staff. The Higher Institution for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice at Umm Al-Qura University completed 54 courses in Riyadh, Jeddah, Madina, Hail, Abha and Jizan within the syllabus of this year's second academic term. According to the dean of the Higher Institution, Khaled Bin Abdullah Al-Shamrani, the nine-week courses were attended by over 120 Hai'a members and addressed Shariah knowledge, training in administrative and educational skills, and personal development. The Higher Institution is an academic body that offers specialized courses that focus on the Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) of promoting virtue and preventing vice and related areas.
