A Pakistani man's complaint to the Jeddah Traffic Department has exposed the work of a notorious forger responsible for producing false driving licenses, car registration papers, and other official documents and stamps. The Traffic Department brought in its investigations division to look into over 20 traffic violations which a Pakistani man claimed had been wrongly registered in his name, varying from going through red lights to speeding and failing to wear a seat belt. Investigators discovered that another man of Pakistani nationality had similar violations in his name, and when he was called in for questioning it was revealed that he had obtained a forged driving license and car registration paperwork (Istimara) from a fellow countryman for SR2,000. He then led investigators to the forger. Upon apprehension at his home, the forger was found in possession of dozens of false documents, including forged identification papers, official documents, passports and official seals. The man reportedly worked according to the requests of clients.
